The Alaska Teamsters have significant work in place for the Freight Transport industry in the 𝘼𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙨 𝙋𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙃𝙞𝙧𝙚 geographical areas. Freight Transport Drivers work locally including LTL freight and local container delivery supplying the state of Alaska 90% of its consumable goods. We supply grocery stores, retails stores and building materials that support Alaska's economy.

Freight Transport Driver Apprenticeship
4,000 hour apprenticeship (3-4 years)
Plus receive ongoing career development, health benefits, and pension.
Journeyman Scale is $28-$30 per hour
Program Information
Application Deadline November 1, 2023 at 4pm AKST

6-week Basic Driver Training, CDL A course begins at Center for Employment Education (CEE) in Anchorage

Northern Region Students will have 3-weeks in Anchorage and complete additional training in Fairbanks.

Monday - Friday 8:00AM to 5:30PM

Anchorage students: 01/03/2024 - 02/16/2024
Fairbanks student will begin their training in Anchorage: 01/03/2024 - 01/25/2024, then move to Fairbanks 01/29/2024 - 02/16/2024
