Teamster Member Training
Training with ATESTT is for eligible Teamster Local 959 members.  Contact Teamsters Union Local 959 Dispatch to obtain a copy of your Work History to determine your eligibility.

Training is scheduled based on the need of the participants/employers and upon recertification needs.
Courses scheduled may be cancelled due to non-participation or at the discretion of ATESTT.

To ensure you are able to receive training before your certification expires, contact us to be added to the course sign up list.

  2. Driver Training & Testing
    ATESTT offers Commercial Driver License (CDL) training and testing for eligible members requiring a CDL or for upgrade training. You must obtain your DOT Medical certificate and CDL Permit prior to scheduling.
  3. NSTC Training
    NSTC is now the Alaska Safety Alliance and changes to the process went into effect, January 1, 2020. For more information go to our NSTC News page
  4. Hazardous Materials Courses
    ATESTT offers courses for transportation awareness, shipping & handling, site clean-up and response.
  5. Industry Specialty Driver Courses
    ATESTT offers advanced vehicle training programs for experienced professional drivers. Long Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Qualified Rigger/Signalperson Boom Truck Articulated End Dump & Side Dump Mixer Truck
  6. OSHA & Industry Safety Courses
    ATESTT offers courses required to work in the Teamster construction industry. Health & Safety North Slope Training (NSTC) OSHA General or Construction MSHA First Aid/CPR & AED Forklift Flagger/Pilot Car
  7. Technical Engineer/Surveyor Upgrade Courses
    ATESTT provides relevant industry training as required by employer needs. As upgrade training becomes available, ATESTT will provide notification to Teamster Local 959 Surveyor members. Chainman, APC & PC Exams are by appointment only.
Eligibility: To be eligible for training through the Training Trust you must be a current Alaska Teamster Local 959 member who is or has worked for a contributing employer to the Training Trust for at least 400 hours or more within any five month period within the previous 24 months.  To determine your eligibility you must obtain your Work History from the Local 959 Dispatch Hall and provide it to the Training Trust when inquiring.

Note: Not all Teamster employer contracts contribute to ATESTT.
