Are you looking for an exciting career in Construction Survey?
Surveyors are commonly referred to as Technical Engineers.
Surveyors are typically the first to start the project and the last to leave. They read plans, layout the project and record the process for the legal record. The projects include utility lines, roads, highways, buildings, mining and pipelines.
Surveying involves measurements and uses high tech instruments and hand held computers. Lasers and satellites are also used in the measurement process.
Proficiency in higher math is required.
Applicants may be age 17 upon submission of application however they must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon date of indenture. This date will be posted during an open application period.

This schedule attached is part of the Standards of Apprenticeship for the Surveyor Assistant, Instruments including minimum qualifications.
The Surveyor Assistant Apprenticeship is currently now OPEN for 2019.
The opening will be announced from
February 1 - March 3.
The application acceptance period is
March 4 - April 12, 2019.

Important Notice about the 2019 Surveyor Assistant application opening.
Applicants must be age 18 by April 30, 2019.
At the close of the application period, eligible applicants will be notified and will be required to interview in Anchorage the week of April 8 - 12. You will be provided a date and time. You are responsible for your own travel.
Selected applicants will then be required to complete all pretraining requirements such as Post Offer Health Questionnaire (POHQ), DOT Drug Testing (UA & Hair) & Post-offer Pre-placement Functional Fit Test prior to final acceptance.
All applicants determined for final acceptance will then begin the 5 week training program starting April 30, 2019. Location will be announced at the time of notification.
Those who start the training program will be responsible for their own transportation, lodging, meals, and training related fees due the first week of the course.
