An 6/8-hour course that provides a 2-year First Aid and a 2-year CPR and AED certification through the National Safety Council.
At Alaska Teamster Employer Service Training Trust, we take care to provide our members high quality relevant safety training.
We provide a variety of OSHA, Health & Safety, and North Slope courses including:
A 4/8-hour course that provides comprehensive classroom instruction and evaluate forklift operation for a 3-year certification as required by OSHA "Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training: Final Rule."
Individual or group training is available.
A 4/8-hour course that provides the certification required for Highway/Road Construction flaggers and State of Alaska pilot car driver for oversized loads.
Mining Safety & Health (MSHA)
Mining Safety & Health Administration requires this course for anyone that is involved with mining operations.
Prerequisites: First Aid/CPR
Annual Update Required
North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC)
8-Hour NSTC required of any worker on the North Slope Oil Field.
Updates required only when NSTC releases new rollouts.

To attend FIRST TIME NSTC training you must sign up at your Local 959 Dispatch
OSHA 10-Hour: General or Construction
This 2-day course will allow you to recognize job site hazards and also the OSHA regulations applied for performing the work in the general or construction industry.
This certificate is required for all Teamster Members to work for any employer under the AGC Contract.
OSHA 30-Hour: General or Construction
A 4-day comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in general or construction industry. This course is also carefully designed for safety directors and field supervisors.
